4 Great Attractions to See When in Sunny Southern California for a Family Vacation

San Diego, California is located in Orange County California and probably has the best weather of any place in the entire United States according to a San Diego event photographer o San Diego photographer. It is a perfect destination for people to visit any time of the year because the temperature remains in the mid 70’s year round with a lot of sunshine and nice cool ocean breezes. San Diego has always been a favorite destination for vacationing families with children of all ages because of the many attractions nearby too says an Orange County photographer. This article will describe some of the fun places you can go to take your kids when on a trip including Disneyland, Sea World, San Diego Zoo and Legoland.

Disneyland is one of those places that many parents wish their kids can experience during their lives and this original Disney amusement park is the perfect one to see first because it is the first one and it is not as big and overwhelming as Disney World in Florida. There are a few hotels to stay in which are inside the park which is great with kids so when they get tired, you can just head back for a nap very easily right within the park. There are several package deals that can save you additional expenses if you are planning to get a hotel within the park which may include discounts on tickets, fun meals with your favorite characters and access to the faster shorter amusement rides too. Be sure to plan at least 2 days for Disneyland when in San Diego as there is so much to do.

Another great place to go to is Sea World in San Diego. This wonderful place is famous for having the biggest collection of marine animals and has spectacular shows using their trained killer whales that they have trained calling it the Shamu show. Despite the latest tragedy of a trainer being killed by one of these killer whales, the resort is staying open and continues to put on their shows for the visitors. It has rides in addition to the animal exhibits and some interactive exhibits where children can pet various sea creatures or adults can enter a shark cage.

One of the best zoos in the country is the San Diego Zoo and they are most famous not only for the number of animals in their park but for their Giant panda exhibit. This zoo is well known for educating visitors about these special animals and continues to breed endangered species. Visiting this zoo is a sure stop for animal lovers.

The final attraction to visit with your children is Legoland. Most adults and children have played with Lego toys at some time during their life and to see a park done in this theme is a lot of fun. They have some magnificent huge Lego masterpieces to see as well as great rides and entertainment for all ages to enjoy. This is smaller than Disneyland and can be seen in one full day if you are pressed for time.
