Dating: Do I Play ‘Hard To Get’?
Playing hard to get: many women swear by it, but maybe you’ve never tried it. Should you? Perhaps it depends on whom you ask! It’s been said that high-achieving men enjoy a challenge, and are always more intrigued by women who aren’t easy to get. Others still like a little bit of both: ignore them one day, and shower them with attention the next. They like a bit of “push and pull,” if you will.
You probably should consider the type of personality of the man you’re pursuing. For example, if he is a businessman, is he focused on keeping his bottom line low? Maybe he’s constantly on the lookout for the best deals, and uses Business coupon to keep his costs low. These aren’t always the type of guy that likes to play a lot of games. He’s focused, he’s detail-oriented, he’s busy, and probably prefers a woman clear about her intentions as much as he likes finding a cost-saving Business software coupons. It just all depends on the guy.
It is the case that not all high-achievers want to spare the time it takes to engage in game-playing. Hard to get doesn’t appeal to every guy, especially ones that are out of their freewheeling 20s. When still young, guys will go for a little game playing. Later on, when work gets demanding and energy starts to wane a bit, easy to get can be just as attractive, or at least only somewhat challenging. A woman who makes her intentions clear can be very attractive.
A woman who gives off a sense of confidence and interest is also highly attractive. After all, it is a delicate balance between playing hard to get and giving off an air of lack of interest. And surely, there is a delicate balance between communicating interest and looking over-eager or desperate. Perhaps, then, hard to get is a way of communicating a lack of desperation.
In any case, when it comes down to it, you need to consider the man in question and his personality. If it seems doable, play a bit of hard to get, and see how it goes. Stick your toe in the water, so to speak, and see what kind of reaction you get. If he doesn’t respond to you, then change your strategy immediately to show more interest.
