Easter Eggs
In the Christian calendar, esater is one of the biggest events. It s a very favorite fete in every Christian state and arguably the most popular fete after Christmas for Christians. There are many traditions surrounding Easter and Easter eggs happen to be one of them. Though some individuals think that these Easter eggs are only given to the less fortunate and to kids this has not always been so.
It looks that even the lovers used to exchange eggs in the past. In that sense, Easter was like a sort of a valentines day in the past. These Easter eggs are dressed in different ways and different individuals in different countries have their own way when it comes to these decorations. Many dress Easter eggs in a pretty simple way without using a lot of colors. However in some other countries a lot of colors are used to dress these eggs and things are even written on these eggs.
There are eggs dressed even in a more complicated manner and some even use melted wax to make intricate designs on Easter eggs. Virgin Mary and the Christ are drawn by some on these eggs. Therefore, such eggs can be considered as serious work of art.
There are different grounds given by individuals for coloring Easter eggs. Many claim that the sunlight of spring is interpreted through these colored eggs while some others believe that it is for different reasons.
Childern do enjoy the event of Easter and they have games such as Easter egg hunt for their enjoyment. In some countries gifts are given to kids together with these eggs, which could be one factor which could account for the popularity of Easter among small kids in particular. The poor also benefit during this part of the year and giving these eggs to servants working in your house used to be quite common even in the past.
There are many differing stories regarding the origins of this tradition. some say that the cooked eggs which were in basket that Mary Magdalene was carrying turned red in color as soon as she witness the reincarnated Jesus Christ. There are many other stories surrounding the birth of Easter egg. Of course none could be traced back as the true story referring the origins of these eggs.
Easter bunnies and eggs are a very much an integrated oart of Easter celebrations. These traditions add color to the fete making it a much awaited one for many around the world.
