Leaky Gut Syndrome and Precautions: The Dangers of Arthritis Medications
Arthritis is a painful disease, there is inflammation of the joints, there is pain without the medications, and the medications are harmful but they are needed and the condition exacerbates the leaky gut syndrome which causes more inflammation and pain.
The treatment for arthritis includes NSAIDs, antibiotics and prednisone. These medications are needed to control the inflammation and the pain and the possible infection if the area inflamed gets a secondary infection.
Everyone already knows that these medications are contributors to leaky gut syndrome, what not a lot know is that the arthritis may have been caused by the leaky gut syndrome itself.
The vicious cycle of pain and medications are really horrible for the gastric tract. The antibiotics kill all the normal flora in it leaving it defenceless, the NSAIDs causes more damage by preventing the production of the much needed mucus which lines the tract and giving it more strength against the toxins from going to the blood stream, and the prednisone does the same thing as the NSAIDs but on a much higher level.
The three combined causes the lining of the gut to weaken more, causing more toxins to flow out and into the blood, and the body will defend against them by causing more inflammation and then more pain in the joints.
It is unfortunate that the only Leaky gut syndrome treatment for arthritis is the same which can cause much damage to the lining of the gut. Avoiding the medications can also be an evil as the pain cannot be tolerated by an ordinary human being.
What to do with this problem has made a lot of doctors confused as to what to do. It is a “from the oven to the frying pan” scenario that is difficult to damage.
Some doctors actually make sure that the diet of the individual has to be monitored and they would even give Probiotics to help the gut recover. However, the continued use of the medications can make this difficult which is why a leaky gut diet can help make all the difference.
